This past week I was made aware by one of my Liberal neighbors that I have members of my party who appear to be out to destroy the GOP, from the inside. In my mind there is no other explanation for what Rafael Edward Cruz stated about his desire to have more members of the U.S. Senate who are like the late U.S. senator from North Carolina, Jesse Helms. My neighbor, seeing me from afar, waited until I pulled into my driveway before walking toward the blind-side of my car. He and I talked about the start of the new school year and other points of interest that parents have in common.

It was the first title that came to me as I watched a CBS News report stating, that no member of the Republican Party was in attendance at the Wednesday’s 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. It is very difficult to admit but I and a number of the members of Center for Conservative Discussion were taken by surprise by the loss of Mitt Romney this past November. While one of our founding members, Olga Bagashvili believed that there was a secret plan that would benefit the party: removing much of the old wood, the rest of us believed the polling that showed that Mitch McConnell and his fellow members of the Senate and House would be successful in their work to make Barack Obama a one-term president.
